Although most Americans may be largely ignorant of what was, and still
is, being done in their names, all are likely to pay a steep
price-individually and collectively-for their nation's continued
efforts to dominate the global scene." - Chalmers Johnson
"The
violent subjugation of the Palestinians, Iraqis, and Afghans will only
ensure that those who oppose us will increasingly speak to us in the
language we speak to them-violence." - Chris Hedges

Please join us in supporting fast food workers who are fighting for better wages and working conditions. Click here to send your message of solidarity.
For too long, fast food workers
of all ages have worked in horrific conditions for poverty wages — but
now these nonunion workers are starting to fight back.
In New York City last month,
McDonald’s workers walked out after one of their co-workers collapsed
from heat exhaustion in a kitchen that lacked air conditioning. Last
week, fast food workers in seven cities walked out to demand a $15/hour
living wage.
It was the largest walkout of
fast food workers in history, and it’s only the beginning of an exciting
and dynamic new movement. At a time when fast food workers are a bigger
and bigger share of our workforce and the economy, their fate is not
separate from everyone else's. As Dr. Martin Luther King said, we're all
wrapped up in one single garment of destiny. When any of us is made
less when any of us is made less.
Thank you for all you do to make this movement real.
Sincerely,
John Sellers, The Other 98%
