It is hardly to be believed how spiritual reflections when mixed with
a little physics can hold people's attention and give them a livelier
idea of God than do the often ill-applied examples of his wrath.
Cautiousness in judgment is nowadays to be recommended to each and every one: if we gained only one incontestable truth every ten years from each of our philosophical writers the harvest we reaped would be sufficient. ... To grow wiser means to learn to know better and better the faults to which this instrument with which we feel and judge can be subject.
Before one blames, one should always find out whether one cannot excuse. To discover little faults has been always the particularity of such brains that are a little or not at all above the average. The superior ones keep quiet or say something against the whole and the great minds transform without blaming.

I
Dear Friends,
As
you know, the Our America Initiative launched an effort in Arizona
earlier this week to place an Equal Marriage Amendment on the state’s
ballot in 2014. The response has been tremendous, and we
are rapidly putting together a coalition of Libertarians, Republicans,
Democrats and Independents who can take the politics out of this
fundamental liberty issue and get the government out of the business of
marriage discrimination.
This afternoon, with the full backing and support of the Our America Initiative, a newly-formed group, Equal Marriage Florida, filed the paperwork to launch a similar effort in Florida.
News of the filing hit the media this morning, as you can read here: Group seeks to put gay marriage back on Florida's ballot . The phones are already ringing.
Any
day now, the U.S. Supreme Court will issue its ruling on gay marriage.
Many experts believe, as do I, it is highly likely that the Court will
return the issue of marriage rights to the states. If and when that
happens, we
want to be ready to seize on public reaction and immediately begin
gathering the signatures to put marriage equality on the ballot in these
key states.
But I need your help. If
the Court puts the issue in the hands of individual states, as many
expect, ensuring marriage equality will be an undertaking that will
require thousands of volunteers and, yes, substantial funding.
Surveys
show that America is ready to adopt equal marriage. But it won’t
happen if we don’t mobilize the people and resources to give voters a
voice at the polls. That is up to you and me. I hope you will go to OurAmericaInitiative.com today to volunteer and to make a contribution that will help fund these critical state initiatives.
The U.S. Supreme Court could rule on gay marriage as early as Monday. We must be ready to hit the ground running.
Thank you for your support, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Gov. Gary Johnson
Honorary Chairman

In his book, Propaganda, published in 1928, Edward Bernays
wrote: "The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized

The American nephew of Sigmund Freud, Bernays invented the term
"public relations" as a euphemism for state propaganda. He warned that
an enduring threat to the invisible government was the truth-teller and
an enlightened public.
