The way to deal with superstition is not to be polite to it, but to tackle it with all arms, and so rout it, cripple it, and make it forever infamous and ridiculous. Is it, perchance, cherished by persons who should know better? Then their folly should be brought out into the light of day, and exhibited there in all its hideousness until they flee from it, hiding their heads in shame.
Rendition..dad
The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos.

find myself here again?  wtf!

There are things known and there are things unknown............and then there are the DOORS, the doors of perception.  Break on through to the other side....5 to 0ne, one in five no-one here gets out alive....you get yours and I'll get mine.  Gonna make it baby if we try.

Flowers planted in used tear gas canisters where Bassem abu Rahme was shot to death by an Israeli soldier during a protest against the Wall in 2009, in the West Bank village of Bil'in, October 4, 2013. The canisters are left over from clashes between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians protesters during the weekly protest in the village. [ Source (Preview) ]

In memory of Herman Wallace, continue the fight to free his friend Albert Woodfox

Earlier this month, we brought you the news that Herman Wallace of the ‘Angola 3’ had been released from prison, after enduring over 41 cruel years in solitary confinement. However, as we had feared, Herman experienced just a few short days outside prison walls before he passed away from liver cancer on 4 October 2013. His only solace was that he died a free man.
Today, Herman’s friend and co-accused, Albert Woodfox, continues to be held in those same cruel conditions by the US state of Louisiana. Please take action to secure his freedom – before it is too late.

Take Action

Albert Woodfox spends 23 hours a day in a tiny cell, denied any meaningful social interaction, in conditions the UN Special Rapporteur recently condemned as torture

Nothing can justify the cruelty the State is inflicting on Albert, as it once inflicted on Herman. Prison records indicate he is not a threat to himself or others, yet the original decision to keep him in solitary confinement has been rubberstamped 160 times with no meaningful review.
And so this has been his life for the best part of four decades, since he was accused of the 1972 murder of prison guard Brent Miller.

Earlier this year, Albert's conviction was overturned for the third time. Once again in its campaign of vengeance against Albert, the State of Louisiana is appealing the ruling.

Call on the Louisiana authorities to drop their appeal, and free Albert
We have passed on the hundreds of messages of solidarity you left in response to Herman’s freedom, and tragic death, to his family and members of the 'Angola' 3 campaign, including Robert King – the first of the three to be freed.

I wanted to share one of those inspirational messages with you:
'With the darkness that inevitably lingers with the death of Herman Wallace, there shines an implacable light. The light that in his final days, he was able to taste freedom one more time… While this is not complete justice... you can take away the warming feeling that there are people who will relentlessly support the cause of justice.’

Please now join our campaign for the release of Albert Woodfox, so that he is able to walk out from his cramped cell to freedom.

Call on the Louisiana authorities to free Albert Woodfox

Thank you,
