It is a fraud of the Christian system to call the sciences human invention; it is only the application of them that is human........Man cannot make principles, he can only discover them.

As to the Christian system of faith, it appears to me as a species of Atheism — a sort of religious denial of God. It professes to believe in a man rather than in God. It is a compound made up chiefly of Manism with but little Deism, and is as near to Atheism as twilight is to darkness. It introduces between man and his Maker an opaque body, which it calls a Redeemer, as the moon introduces her opaque self between the earth and the sun, and it produces by this means a religious, or an irreligious, eclipse of light. It has put the whole orbit of reason into shade  T. Paine

Is This Republican an American Hero?

"Since leaving public office, Dick Cheney has made the rounds on cable TV and did a stint in the hospital for a heart transplant. But one congressman suggests there's an even more unpleasant destination awaiting the former vice president: the firey blazes of h-e-double-hockey-sticks.

Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.) said as much during a Saturday speech, according to a video that Talking Points Memo unearthed. Jones suggested that Cheney's support for the Iraq war warranted repayment in the hereafter."*

Rep. Walter Jones is not a liberal by any means, but he does something few do- admit to mistakes. He's coming out saying that the Iraq War was a mistake and that he was wrong to support it. He's also apparently in favor of getting money out of politics. Has this conservative earned Cenk Uygur's respect?

BREAKING ~ US NAVY CONFIRMS PLASMA CLOUD BY H.A.A.R.P.

The U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, which conducts research on the "High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program '(HAARP) facility in Gakona Alaska, published on their site to confirm that they have successfully created a stable, synthetic, dense plasma cloud in the upper atmosphere.
The plant is used, therefore, not only for research, as has been suggested previously, but to alter the ionosphere or raise. - Parsifal

NRL Scientists Produce Densest Artificial Ionospheric Plasma Clouds Using HAARP
02/25/2013

U.S. Naval Research Laboratory research physicists and engineers from the Plasma Physics Division, working at the High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) transmitter facility, Gakona, Alaska, successfully produced a sustained high density plasma cloud in Earth's upper atmosphere.
Image: Sequence of images of the glow plasma discharge produced with transmissions at the third electron gyro harmonic using the HAARP HF transmitter, Gakona, Alaska. The third harmonic artificial glow plasma clouds were obtained with HAARP using transmissions at 4.34 megahertz (MHz). The resonant frequency yielded green line (557.7 nanometer emission) with HF on November 12, 2012, between the times of 02:26:15 to 02:26:45 GMT.

"Previous artificial plasma density clouds have lifetimes of only ten minutes or less," said Paul Bernhardt, Ph.D., NRL Space Use and Plasma Section. "This higher density plasma 'ball' was sustained over one hour by the HAARP transmissions and was extinguished only after termination of the HAARP radio beam."

These glow discharges in the upper atmosphere were generated as a part of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) sponsored Basic Research on Ionospheric Characteristics and Effects (BRIOCHE) campaign to explore ionospheric phenomena and its impact on communications and space weather.
