my sweet Lord

the love way of love.

ME:
Of those who love you as the Lord of Love,
Ever present in all, and those who seek you
As the nameless, formless Reality,
Which way is sure and swift, love or knowledge?

GOD:
For those who set their hearts on me
And worship me with unfailing devotion and faith,
The way of love leads sure and swift to me.

Those who seek the transcendental Reality,
Unmanifested, without name or form,
Beyond the reach of feeling and of thought,
With their senses subdued and mind serene
And striving for the good of all beings,
They too will verily come unto me.

Yet hazardous
And slow is the path to the Unrevealed,
Difficult for physical man to tread.
But they for whom I am the goal supreme,
Who do all work renouncing self for me
And meditate on me with single-hearted devotion,
These will I swiftly rescue
From the fragment's cycle of birth and death
To fullness of eternal life in me.

Still your mind in me, still yourself in me,
And without doubt you shall be united with me,
Lord of Love, dwelling in your heart.
But if you cannot still your mind in me,
Learn to do so through the practice of meditation.
If you lack the will for such self-discipline,
Engage yourself in selfless service of all around you,
For selfless service can lead you at last to me.
If you are unable to do even this,
Surrender yourself to me in love,
Receiving success and failure with equal calmness
As granted by me.

Better indeed is knowledge than mechanical practice.
Better than knowledge is meditation.
But better still is surrender in love,
Because there follows immediate peace.

That one I love who is incapable of ill will,
And returns love for hatred.
Living beyond the reach of I and mine
And of pleasure and pain, full of mercy,
Contented, self-controlled, firm in faith,
With all their heart and all their mind given to me –
With such people I am in love.

Not agitating the world or by it agitated,
They stand above the sway of elation,
Competition, and fear, accepting life
Good and bad as it comes. They are pure,
Efficient, detached, ready to meet every demand
I make on them as a humble instrument of my work.

They are dear to me who run not after the pleasant
Or away from the painful, grieve not
Over the past, lust not today,
But let things come and go as they happen.

Who serve both friend and foe with equal love,
Not buoyed up by praise or cast down by blame,
Alike in heat and cold, pleasure and pain,
Free from selfish attachments and self-will,
Ever full, in harmony everywhere,
Firm in faith – such as these are dear to me.

But dearest to me are those who seek me
In faith and love as life's eternal goal.
They go beyond death to immortality.

In February of 1977 I had the privilege of flying to San Francisco out of Dallas to catch my overseas flight; a MAC flight out of Travis AFB to Korea via Japan. But anyway, at sfn airport there were these Hare Krishna's that literally pounce on folks and can spot a country bumpkin for across the tarmac. Man they swarmed me, they knew I was holde'n dollars, ya' think my duffle bag labeled Japan air lines was que?
About five or six groups of 50 groups of five or six. Just blew my mind, I was thinking I am going to hell; they are going abduct me, and brain-wash me; I really was scared of them; I read the family, and was sure hope'n they caught all them Manson people. They was wearing gowns and robes yellow and purple and gold, and ball-headed ever single one of them. I knew right away there wasn't any women in the group, I decided right then I wasn't joining. So to get them away from me I threw 10 bucks in their pot hop'in they would back off. They did; but two of them followed me to my gate. I could not shake them they was trying to give me a book and they wasn't taking no for an answer. I finally took the book to get rid of them and they left me alone after that and walked off. After they got out of sight I went in the men's room and threw the book away like a good Baptist boy should do. Had I known this song/poem/meditation/prayer was in that book I would sill have the damn thing. The book was the bhagavad-gita the song of our lord. If you sing this song you will get closer to the source whether you want to or not. I like prayers. I believe god answers prayers, some prayers like st. franny of Assisi prayer, pray that one as a believer and you will get hardship and sorrow much long-suffering; it is a totally unselfish communion with god. When you pray for Polaris you get them both equally. If you only pray for love y our proverbial fountains overflow exponentially!! Lets all share one moment of warm fuzzy: I love you all. I am going to train me a bunch of kindergarten teachers. It is the only hope man will survive in the cyber-age. We have got to feed our youth better information if they are to last longer than the sun. When shit starts dying off, we/your next. My theory, my thesis will be called : the collapsing domino effect of the human catastrophic failure of the echo-system to support O2 and H2O demands, we are destroying our biologic lungs and kidneys as sure as a drunk is thirsty, due to over consumption of the natural resources. They have, i.e. any ancient organism, become extinct. Maybe we can evolve us some new kind'da gill looking thangies, I been seeing people with peculiar looking side flaps? Or learn to live at the poles. For a few thousand years. Supported by Halliburton engineers and contractors. (It's mighty strange that Halliburton on word has auto capital sir name, auto-spell correct minor vowel issues. Type in Swartz and it fixes it). I sometimes I don't get a good feeling about mankind's ultimate end or beginning. There is too many cruel people in the world to be an accident. Is what I think. Our youth someday will have to realize and correct. Minimize and neutralize today's mistakes, I believe we have ill equipt them for, only marginal success at best, in the future. No Gun Ri Massacre

Korean War: U.S. Army 7th Cavalry Regiment troops concluded
four days of shootings of civilians, sparked by fears that columns of
refugees might contain North Korean spies.

The No Gun Ri Massacre occurred on July 26–29, 1950, early in the Korean War, when an undetermined number of South Korean refugees were killed by the 2nd Battalion, 7th U.S. Cavalry Regiment (and a U.S. air attack) at a railroad bridge near the village of No Gun Ri (revised Romanization Nogeun-ri), 100 miles (160 km) southeast of Seoul. In 2005, the South Korean government certified the names of 163 dead or missing (mostly women, children and old men) and 55 wounded. It said many other victims' names were not reported. Over the years survivors' estimates of the dead have ranged from 300 to 500. The U.S. Army cites the number of casualties as "unknown."
The massacre allegations were little known outside Korea until the publication of Associated Press (AP) reports in 1999 containing interviews with 7th Cavalry veterans who corroborated Korean survivors' accounts. The AP also uncovered warfront orders to fire on refugees, given out of fear of enemy North Korean infiltration. After years of rejecting claims by survivors, the Pentagon conducted an investigation and, in 2001, acknowledged the killings, but referred to the three-day event as "an unfortunate tragedy inherent to war and not a deliberate killing." The U.S. rejected survivors' demands for an apology and compensation.
South Korean investigators disagreed with Pentagon findings, saying they believed 7th Cavalry troops were ordered to fire on the refugees. The survivors’ group called the U.S. report a "whitewash." Additional archival documents later emerged showing U.S. commanders ordering the shooting of refugees during this period, declassified documents found but not disclosed by Pentagon investigators. Among them was a report by the U.S. ambassador in South Korea in July 1950 that the U.S. military had adopted a theater-wide policy of firing on approaching refugee groups. Despite demands, the U.S. investigation was not reopened.
Prompted by the exposure of No Gun Ri, survivors of similar alleged incidents in 1950-1951 filed reports with the Seoul government. In 2008 an investigative commission said more than 200 cases of alleged large-scale civilian killings by the U.S. military had been registered, mostly air attacks.

happened here till the power elite won.. killed, stole/sold everything here, don't matter where the romans go, everything was free, everything....slavery on a global scale
others do NOT matter. start at athens when westerners where literate enough to get history wrote down, remember they also had major problems with the weather too, in rome. earthquakes.....go way way back ask lot, noah, the babble tower folks.....all the way to the here and now, wounded knee was payback for custer. the west introduced sleaze and then make us pay for the privilege do degredate our culture, denigrate society and humanities dignity worldwide....just what happens to our uniqueness?Failure for the mainstream media to report of these atrocities is evidence the Americans are being lied to by the sin of omission.  This a gross breach of public trust. These types of incidence go unreported or under reported hundreds of times everyday, newsmen look the other way; honest dedicated journalist feel intimidated  or end up dead. The sin of omission for personnel survival seems to be the norm...........................keep fighting the good fight, with your minds as weapon......

False Flags Have Been Planned Against Syria for 50 Years

Don’t believe all of the mainstream reports (roundup here) that the U.S. is supporting false flag attacks carried out by Al Qaeda against Syria?
The BBC reports that the British and American leaders seriously considered false flag attacks in Syria in 1957:

in 1957 Harold Macmillan and President Dwight Eisenhower approved a CIA-MI6 plan to stage fake border incidents as an excuse for an invasion by Syria’s pro-western neighbours, and then to “eliminate” the most influential triumvirate in Damascus…. The report said that once the necessary degree of fear had been created, frontier incidents and border clashes would be staged to provide a pretext for Iraqi and Jordanian military intervention. Syria had to be “made to appear as the sponsor of plots, sabotage and violence directed against neighbouring governments,” the report says. “CIA and SIS should use their capabilities in both the psychological and action fields to augment tension.” That meant operations in Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon, taking the form of “sabotage, national conspiracies and various strong-arm activities” to be blamed on Damascus. The plan called for funding of a “Free Syria Committee”, and the arming of “political factions with paramilitary or other actionist capabilities” within Syria. The CIA and MI6 would instigate internal uprisings, for instance by the Druze in the south, help to free political prisoners held in the Mezze prison, and stir up the Muslim Brotherhood in Damascus.
It’s not just Syria. Governments routinely admit to false flag terror – governments attacking people and then blaming others in order to create animosity towards those they wish to topple. For example:
  • A major with the Nazi SS admitted at the Nuremberg trials that – under orders from the chief of the Gestapo – he and some other Nazi operatives faked attacks on their own people and resources which they blamed on the Poles, to justify the invasion of Poland. Nazi general Franz Halder also testified at the Nuremberg trials that Nazi leader Hermann Goering admitted to setting fire to the German parliament building, and then falsely blaming the communists for the arson
  • The CIA admits that it hired Iranians in the 1950′s to pose as Communists and stage bombings in Iran in order to turn the country against its democratically-elected prime minister
  • Israel admits that an Israeli terrorist cell operating in Egypt planted bombs in several buildings, including U.S. diplomatic facilities, then left behind “evidence” implicating the Arabs as the culprits (one of the bombs detonated prematurely, allowing the Egyptians to identify the bombers, and several of the Israelis later confessed) (and see this and this)

Thursday, May 27, 1999, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's sub-committee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful. The following is a portion of the transcript:
Since the dawn of creation there has been both good and evil in the heart of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers. The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.
In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent. I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy - it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves.
I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best. This was written way before I knew I would be speaking here today.
"Your laws ignore our deepest needs
Your words are empty air
You've stripped away our heritage
You've outlawed simple prayer
Now gunshots fill our classrooms
And precious children die
You seek for answers everywhere
And ask the question "Why"
You regulate restrictive laws
Through legislative creed
And yet you fail to understand
That God is what we need!"

Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, soul, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreck havoc. Spiritual influences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation?
We have refused to honor God, and in doing so, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs - politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties.
We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts. Political posturing and restrictive legislation are not the answers. The young people of our nation hold the key. There is a spiritual awakening taking place that will not be squelched!
We do not need more religion. We do not need more gaudy television evangelists spewing out verbal religious garbage. We do not need more million dollar church buildings built while people with basic needs are being ignored. We do need a change of heart and an humble acknowledgment that this nation was founded on the principle of simple trust in God!
As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes - He did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America, and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School - prayer was brought back to our schools.
Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God - given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA - I give to you a sincere challenge. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone! My daughter's death will not be in vain. The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!

London2012 repost

Framing the issues.

A young protestor taking part in a demonstration demands that the Union Carbide plant site in Bhopal be cleaned up, December 2002. Copyright: Maude DorrNext month, London plays host to an Olympic Games that promises to ‘Inspire a Generation’. At its heart will be the flagship East London stadium, encircled by a fabric ‘wrap’ sponsored by Dow Chemical, sole owner since 2001 of Union Carbide.

That is, sole owner of the company responsible for one of the worst cases of corporate negligence in living memory: Bhopal. Tell LOCOG chair Lord Coe to stop defending Dow Chemical

On the night of 2-3 December 1984, a cloud of toxic gas leaked from a Union Carbide pesticide factory in Bhopal, India towards nearby shantytowns. Between 7,000 and 10,000 people were killed immediately and a further 15,000 people died as a result of the disaster over the next 20 years.

Today, contamination at the site continues to directly affect 100,000 people,                                           denying their rights to health, water and housing. Victims of the disaster are still fighting for justice from Dow in both Indian and US courts, justice that involves the long overdue clean-up of their environment.

That fight may have been made a lot harder as a result of LOCOG Chair Sebastian Coe’s public statement that Dow were not responsible for the events of 1984. In doing so, he effectively declared victims’ claims to be unfounded. Send an email: End LOCOG’s shameful defence of Dow Chemical

Not only does this association with Dow damage the Bhopal victims’ quest for justice, it taints the London Olympics itself. Yet it’s not too late for LOCOG to retract its defence of Dow, apologise to victims – and help bring the day closer that Dow finally accepts
responsibility for the Bhopal disaster.

Tell LOCOG chair Lord Coe to stop defending Dow Chemical

Wow Dow, Did you send me the above-referenced email, and if so why? The contents are an indictment of your company, and in no way absolve Dow nor justify Dow's position. The argument made is that the financial interests of corporations in general, and yours in particular take precedence over the suffering for which they are responsible. Instead of taking responsibity you offer this rationalization and call it "clarity"! May I suggest, if this email is genuine, that you save even more money and fire your PR department.

I must respond to your very strange and unsettling message!
> "Company responds to activist concerns with concrete action points"
There are no concrete action points here -- only paper-thin alibis.
>Dow Chemical (http://www.dow-chemical.com) has
> issued a statement explaining why it is unable to more actively
> address the problem.

You have NOT explained why you are unwilling to extend further compensation to the thousands upon thousands of people whose lives YOU HAVE DESTROYED through negligence. It's called impunity.
When you absorbed Union Carbide, you took on their liabilities -- and this is a fact you are still evading.
> "We are being portrayed as a heartless giant which doesn't care about
> the 20,000 lives lost due to Bhopal over the years," said Dow
> President and CEO Michael D. Parker. "But this just isn't true. Many
> individuals within Dow feel tremendous sorrow
"Sorrow" doesn't cut it. It's a cavalier way of stiffing the victims of Union Carbide's negligence. The terrible tragedies of Bhopal were caused by Union Carbide's willingness to risk a disaster to save a few pennies of operational cost...
> "Unfortunately, we have responsibilities to our shareholders and our
> industry colleagues that make action on Bhopal impossible. And being
> clear about this has been a very big step."
This is the most absurd statement I've ever read. You are blaming your own Stockholders and OTHER COS. for your irresponsible, callous, inhumane greed! Just when I thought corporate America couldn't sink any lower, you found a way!!!!!
> Although legal investigations have consistently pinpointed Union
> Carbide as culprit, both Union Carbide and Dow have had to publicly
> deny these findings.
Had to? What in the world are you talking about. You just stated Union Carbide was the source of the accident, and then you say you "had" to deny the findings? You are making no sense at all.
> "We understand the anger and hurt," said Dow Spokesperson Bob Questra.
> "But Dow does not and cannot acknowledge responsibility. If we did,
> not only would we be required to expend many billions of dollars on
> cleanup and compensation"
Obviously, a greater tragedy as far as you are concerned than the loss of life. Your attitude is that of a MASS MURDERER.
> "much worse, the public could then point to
> Dow as a precedent in other big cases. 'They took responsibility; why
> can't you?' Amoco, BP, Shell, and Exxon all have ongoing problems that
> would just get much worse.
That's not worse my friend, it's better. It's called corporate responsibility -- a concept that apparently you are too depraved to understand.... Aren't you kind? Looking out for other company's welfare.
> "We are unable to set this precedent for
> ourselves and the industry, much as we would like to see the issue
> resolved in a humane and satisfying way."
God, what humanists you are! Maybe you should share the Nobel prize with Netanyahu and Kissinger!

You and most corporations are poor excuses for human beings. Do you really consider $300 to 500. compensation for a person's life??? Why don't you admit you're at fault and do the right thing. I once owned Dow shares and I'm really glad I sold them years ago. Your loyalty to the other corporations is akin to the Mafia's loyality to its "family".

Referring to Dow Chemical as having a constructive part in the birth of the environmental movement is like crediting Hitler and Eichman's racial cleansing policies against the jews as having led to the origins of international ethical and moral judgements at Nuremberg. Or crediting cancer with the origins of chemotherapy. Your letter can only lead a normal person to question the reliability of the people running your corporation. Is it legal for a deranged and certifiably insane group of people to run a company selling stock to the public? By the way, a minor point, but when at the close of your letter, you refer to Dow's products as "solutions" for industry, you proudly include Agent Orange and DDT but forgot Napalm. As i recall that one added a significant amount of profit to those shareholders about whom you are so concerned.

Let me paraphrase your message: "For me (the murderer) to accept responsibility for my crime would be impossible, as it would mean I'd have to go to jail...I'd like to effectively admit guilt without paying the consequences."
This is total bullshit. In what kind of world can you actually try to pass off such a weak position as 'honest and clear'? $300-$500 per person??!!! Pay up some real money you cheap bastards!

Gentlemen,
I find the response by the Dow Chemical Corporation not in the least satisfactory. There must be, and we will continue to insist upon, more satisfactory ways for the large corporations -- including their directors and managers -- to be held accountable for the consequences of their actions and installations. All of them. Otherwise 'bancruptcies' and other ploys will continue to be used as 'escape hatches' for corporate responsibility.
The use of the word "unfortunately" here and in most cases is deviously and insidiously misleading. What we are dealing with has nothing whatever to do with "fortune" or misfortune", good "luck" or bad "luck". What we are dealing with are human - "man-made" - provisions, constructions and situations which therefore need to be dealt with, and dealt to, by human action: socially, financially, and above all *politically*.
It is evidently and completely unfair, unjust, and reprehensible that *some* (few) people can reap huge rewards and high incomes, while (many) others are killed, injured, starved, and continue to live in miserable degraded conditions.
That 'situation' is not simply "unfortunate" --- it must and will be changed, by people, sooner or later, one way or another. Whoever does not see this is blind.

Dear Mr. Questra, Dow Spokesperson,
As a Dow retiree, and a Social Activist, a lot of correspondence has come across my desk that has made me either shake my head in disbelief or feel a huge sense of outrage, and in some cases both. So when I say that this bit of corporate spin is the most irresponsible, reprehensible, and nauseating piece of whitewashed corporate-speak that I have ever seen, I speak from truth. And it makes me ashamed of my long association with the company....

Dear Dow Press Office:
This is in response to Dow Chemical's statement explaining why it is unable to more actively address the problem of the tragedy in Bhopal.
When corporations were given personhood in the early nineteenth century by the U.S. Supreme Court, it was not envisioned that such personhood gave only the benefits but none of the responsibilities of personhood.
Bhopal was ruined by the destruction of a chemical plant, and responsibility lies with the corporation who was benefitting from it OR its successors.

Subject: Rachel Carson's Silent Spring

For Dow to take "credit" for poisoning the planet with DDT, and thereby to take credit for Rachel Carson's alerting the world to your company's poison represents a new low in corporate ethics.
Combining this with the thoroughly amoral statements of your CEO on why Dow cannot acknowledge responsibility for Union Carbide's legacy at Bhopalmakes Dow Chemical a blight on the hope that corporations can act ethically and morally even if it has an adverse effect on profits.
If you compare Dow's behavior with that of Johnson & Johnson when some of it's McNeil Division's Tylenol was poisoned by a criminal, you would find that corporations can remain profitable, even highly profitable, in the long run by sacrificing short term profit for moral and ethical reasons.
Incidentally, Rachel Carson died in 1964 after authoring Silent Spring in 1962, not 1969 as your web site states.
Would you be kind enough to remove this disgusting paragraph from the home page of your web site?

You people are HORRIBLE!!! and your position is illogical, to boot.
You are saying that you (SOME of you) care, but it's just not convenient to do anything about it.
These are human LIVES we are talking about. Impoverished people, sick people (and their sickness caused BY YOUR CHEMICALS)
You are saying that MONEY is more important than PEOPLE.
You are saying that shareholders are more important than the innocent people you killed, maimed and sickened.
Right is right. If you made the mess, it IS your job to clean it up. Most of us learn this in kindergarten. It's part of the GOlden Rule. Or do you have different rules you play by (apparently!), and if so, who gave you the right to decide when you would and would not take responsibility for what YOU (and no one else) DID?!?!?!
I am shocked, appalled, horrified, sickened and disgusted with you. I guess "corporate responsibility" is the biggest oxymoron of them all. Rest assured, you will never receive a dime from me as a customer. I will make sure I boycott any company that has any connection to yours.
Some time ago I had a debate with a friend about whether or not "evil" exists.
I took the side that it doesn't. People are just misguided, I said.
Well, I take it back.

To Michael Parker, President:
The statement issued recently regarding Dow's lack of willingness to take responsibility for what happened at Bhopal declares that your stockholders and the business you are in makes this impossible. Profiting richly from the cover-up of your culpability in the miserable and painful deaths of some 20,000 poor and humble people is clearly, however, not beyond the capacity of Dow and its subsidiary Union Carbide. Could there be any clearer demonstration of the venality and cruelty of Capitalism? I think not.
The world, however, is full of people who unlike you, have not lost their moral compass. There is a growing tide of righteous anger building toward people like you, your board of directors and your stockholders. A day of reckoning will one day come. Meanwhile, if you have any gods I suggest you pray for your immortal soul. This may comfort you. But if you, like me, are guided only by my own sense of right and wrong, may you never have a good night's sleep or moment of personal peace or happiness until you make things right with the people of Bhopal.

Charity is in my heart and not my wallet.
"Apathy is the glove in which evil slips its hand." Vw
Apathy is spiritual self mutilation of each individual member of the body. It is sad that I have repeatedly witnessed more compassion from a bum on the street than from an indifferent "good Christian". And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
I have learned working with the public that the happiest people I have ever met were more spiritual and didn't have much property to worry about. And the absolute unhappiest folk I ever communed with where the ones with all the responsibility for stuff. I realized I spent all my time managing my stuff, taking care of my stuff, securing my stuff, insuring my stuff, polishing and admiring, displaying the conspicuous consumption for which I was responsible. Worrying about how to get more stuff is not living. Sharing sunsets and thanking God you got to see his beauty is living; talking to an eight year old kid that is busy at something else is living(they will tell you or make up what ever you want to hear to get rid of you, like: Lots wife was a pillar of salt in the day time and at night she was a ball of fire); talking to another human being outside your comfort zone with genuine interest counts most. People should immediately recognize the love of God in me by my example. Charity is evidence of love of God, Apathy is evidence satons love of evil. Seems too much shit causes apathy; too busy tending your shit to care about anything else. Is that life? Many, many people, without a charitable heart, me one, God will slap you down with a life change, the end or between. Many call for the first time on god he will not say 'wait till I finish polishing the boat' to aid and comfort. His mind is already settled between your Ipod and the poor. Pity the toys I so coveted could not restore my health. They wouldn't even fit in the hospital bed with me, decisions, life choices, every body always said you cant take it with you; but me, like a fool tried to get a plasma screen into heaven. He told me to go work with the poor and learn some charity and humility; your going to stick around and put that smart mouth of yours to work for God, dude! I was like woahhh, man. You are reading this because I am obedient and I speak for all those who cant by the authority of God, not me. Most of the survivors get in Gods spiritual boat, the rest die. Because of apathy we don't know how many die. It is a bunch, many more than all conflict and disease combined to be sure. God knows.
What's the difference between ignorance and apathy? I don't know and I don't care.
"I have a very strong feeling that the opposite of love is not hate - it's apathy. It's not giving a damn." lb
The worst sin towards our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them: that's the essence of inhumanity." Jbs
Apathy is the greatest shield. With it, no one can hurt me,
The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it.
He who does not punish evil commands it to be done. ldv
Evil exists," he says, not flinching at the word. "I believe that what the rich have done to the poor people in this city is something that a preacher could call evil. Somebody has power. Pretending that they don't so they don't need to use it to help people - that is my idea of evil." Jk
"The religion that is afraid of science dishonors God and commits suicide.... Every influx of atheism, of skepticism, is thus made useful as a mercury pill assaulting and removing a diseased religion, and making way for truth." RWE
Standing on the bare ground, — my head bathed by the blithe air, and uplifted into infinite space, — all mean egotism vanishes. I become a transparent eye-ball; I am nothing; I see all; the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me; I am part or particle of God. I am Kosmicdebris.
