Award winning scientist David Suzuki has gone on record in a public
talk posted online just days ago in saying that in the event of another
seven or above earthquake, which he says has about a 95% chance of
occurring over the next three years, it would mean a complete evacuation
of North America and ‘bye bye Japan’.

The
Millennium Bulk Terminals in Longview, WA would be the largest
permitted coal export terminal in the United States, with plans to ship
44 million tons of coal annually. Right now, the three agencies involved
in issuing permits are trying to decide which impacts to take into
account in their decision making process.
If
this project is approved, rail-side communities would be peppered with
airborne coal dust and gigantic cargo vessels would ply the Columbia
River daily. Even worse, this project would turn the Northwest into one
of the world’s largest exporters of climate-disrupting coal. It doesn’t
matter where that coal is burned, we all feel the impacts of its global
warming pollution.
