Laws are no longer made by a rational process of public discussion; they are made by a process of blackmail and intimidation, and they are executed in the same manner. The typical lawmaker of today is a man wholly devoid of principle — a mere counter in a grotesque and knavish game. If the right pressure could be applied to him, he would be cheerfully in favor of polygamy, astrology or cannibalism.
It is the aim of the Bill of Rights, if it has any remaining aim at all, to curb such prehensile gentry. Its function is to set a limitation upon their power to harry and oppress us to their own private profit. The Fathers, in framing it, did not have powerful minorities in mind; what they sought to hobble was simply the majority. But that is a detail. The important thing is that the Bill of Rights sets forth, in the plainest of plain language, the limits beyond which even legislatures may not go. The Supreme Court, in Marbury v. Madison, decided that it was bound to execute that intent, and for a hundred years that doctrine remained the corner-stone of American constitutional law.

Senators to investigate NSA role in GCHQ 'Optic Nerve' webcam spying
Three senators condemn UK spy agency’s ‘breathtaking lack of respect’ over interception of Yahoo users’ webcam images
Reacting to the Guardian’s revelation on Thursday that UK surveillance agency GCHQ swept up millions of Yahoo users’ webcam chats, senators Ron Wyden, Mark Udall and Martin Heinrich said in a joint statement that “any involvement of US agencies in the alleged activities reported today will need to be closely scrutinized”.
Still to this day they have not stopped any of their illegal operations..both the GCHQ spying on amerikans and the NSA on Briton. Those in the military have a duty to disobey illegal laws. What exactly are we teaching these men? Those in uniform both military and local police and militias are in place to protect the country, the people, NOT greedy politicians and rich wallstreet bankers and corporations, those that pay [them] off, the real criminals...come on man! I do believe that our federal soldiers will not fire on protesting civilians but I am positive that police forces will as evidenced by past behavior on record as abuse of authority with impunity. kos
Blogged below Sept. 2012
Demagogue,
n (plural dem·a·gogues) 1. emotive dictator: a political leader who gains power by appealing to people's emotions and prejudices rather than their rationality.
'We have misunderstood, misread, misplanned and mismanaged our honorable intentions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, Yemen, Somalia, Lebanon, entire south America, Cuba...... with an arrogant self-delusion reminiscent of Vietnam. I happen to believe that by 2012, this country is going to be ready for some people to talk very clearly, plainly — not frighten them, not demagogue them, but say it straight, say it honest. This is a ping-pong game with American livesand those innocent ones flee or killed to make way for this economically manufactured war machine.' then senator Chuck Hagel
'These young men and women that we deploy on others sovereign soil that possess valuable natural and human resources(american corporate interest, not u.s. citizens interest), are not beans. They're real lives. And we better be damn sure we know what we're doing, all of us, especially after we put 22,000 more Americans into that grinder. Many of those who want to rush this country into war and think it would be so quick and easy don't know anything about war. They come at it from an intellectual perspective, versus having sat in jungles or foxholes and watched their friends get their heads blown off.'
Chickenhawk(n, pronounced chi-ken-shit cowards ): used in the u s to criticize a politician, bureaucrat, or commentator who strongly supports a war or other military action, but has never personally been in a war, especially if that person is perceived to have actively avoided military service when of draft age.
We know who the chicken hawks are. They talk tough on national defense and military issues and cast aspersions on others, When it was their turn to serve where were they? AWOL, that's where they were...the lead chickenhawk…. the GOP presidential-vice nominees of the United States. President Obama.....DrafT dodger.
There is nothing brave, resolute, nor virtuous about advocating military action from afar while suffering personally no costs and/or consequences. It is, in fact, a very easy argument to make from afar when one does not have any combat experience. When the U.S. military has difficulties in recruiting soldiers and Marines (like today) the refusal of prominent war supporters even to encourage their eligible relatives and friends, their circles of influence, to consider volunteering for military service, calls into question their integrity. If the war is so important, why are only "other people" actually fighting it? George W. Bush and obama has helped those who have most, hurt those who have least and ignored everyone in between. The mark of leadership is not to stand up when everybody is standing, but rather to actually stand up when no one else is standing.
I have to honestly admit that I am ashamed at the behavior of Americas top leadership. Maybe I am paranoid, but I don't feel too comfortable exercising my constitutional first amendment right of free speech by criticizing the chickenhawks in our government. Afraid five masked men may burst into my home, handcuff me, put a black hood over my head, whisk me off to the airport, put me on a plane bound for some black-op Turkish prison never to be heard from again.
A special thanks to sen. Chuck Hagel and general Wesley Clark for their contributions to this blog today….so, g-men, if you come after me, be sure and get the senator and general too, be nice to have intelligent company since I don't associate with chicken shh….uh hawks.
Volunteers today, are recruited from a vast poll of poverty born out of economic necessity, patriotism is limited to the appeal of being part of a team, not the security of a nation, especially from a nation that needs protection from our own lawmakers and enforcers ie the government. If you haven't noticed the jack-booted along with the brown or black shirted here, in every state, you are not looking and conditioned to filter out and not think about all the noise in our visual and audio environment .....if the American stormtroopers here in the states turn on our own people, spraying pepper, clubbing and arresting those exercising the free speech right to redress the government to have majority popular issues resolved; just think what is being done to those countries America is occupying, unreported because of the dead journalist syndrome, cause truth reporting blacklists; deaths.totaling millions in the last ten years. State writes the history feeding propaganda, foisting insane polices, defies rational behavior, and insults the collectives intelligence on a macro level. kos

“Warmer air contains more humidity and can therefore cause stronger rainfalls and make our weather more unpredictable. Scientists have pointed to the potentially dramatic risks and now it is up to politicians to react. In order to stand a chance in the fight against the worst impacts of climate change, industrialised countries need to reduce CO2 emissions by 50% by 2030 compared to the levels of 1990. Germany should lead by example.” read more
