Please take action! This is an emergency. The phone lines, internet and cellular network will cease to function in Gaza in the next few hours. This means that even less news will be able to get out, and worse, people will not be able to call for ambulances and help when they have been bombed. Two days ago the Israeli press announced that the military is calling up an additional 16 000 reservists and Obama okayed the transfer of a huge cache of additional weapons for the IOF, so there is no end in sight yet. Unless the world stops Israel, this time there is really going to be a MASSIVE GENOCIDE, with even more atrocities being committed under cover of the blackout in electricity and comms.
Over the past few days, the Zionist assault on the 1.8 million people trapped inside Gaza has intensified to the extent that there is literally nowhere safe to take refuge. The world watches in horror as another Naqba unfolds, and the scenes of barbarism and human misery equal those of Deir Yassen (1948) and the massacres of Sabra and Shatila (1982).
Today, during the so-called 72-hour ceasefire, the IOF dropped a one tonne bomb onto Rafah, killing 35 civilians, and injuring 200. The biggest hospital in Gaza, al-Shifa, received a phone call from the IOF this morning warning that the hospital is to be bombed later today, and telling them to evacuate all their patients. On 30 July, following the repeated targeting of a UNWRA school where 3000 displaced people were sheltering, and again, during a 4 hour unilateral "ceasefire" declared by "Israel", it waited for the streets to fill up with people and then repeatedly targeted a busy market in Al-Shajayah, killing at least 17 and critically injuring more than 200 people, mostly children.
The entire Gaza Strip is being carpet bombed, and the infrastructure destroyed, including hospitals, water wells, the sewerage system, the phone, internet and cellular network, the only electric power station in the Strip, government and civil defense buildings, the fire station, mosques, a gas station, the media offices, the sea port and thousands of homes. UNWRA schools offering refuge to more than 200 000 displaced people are being targeted, as well as UNWRA vehicles, ambulances, firefighters and medical personnel.
