Honor your dead fellow countrymen by learning to spell. And when you're proficient enough, then learn to read, and use that skill to read about that war, how it started, why it went on so long, how it ended, and the period of history it happened in. It wasn't the same as today - it was during the Cold War. And who do you mean by "we" anyway? You're still alive aren't you? I can't say the same for a lot of 18-year-old kids who were involuntarily drafted and found themselves in a jungle from Hell.

Actually, unlike today, there was very little censorship by the military. Broadcast reporters were allowed free reign across the country Millions of South Koreans living free and prospering as a nation, while in North Korea, Kim Jong Il's idiot son continues to starve his people to death in one of the worst dictatorships in history, will argue with you about that. They'll tell you that they're thankful the U.S. helped them, at great cost in lives and materials. Half a country saved from the fate of North Koreans is better by far than none of it. And no American asked for thanks - they just went, like they did in Kuwait in 1991. , including the battlefield.

That is what finally ended 'nam war, and is the reason why newcasters are heavily censored today - and must be embedded with our troops, so only one side is presented. Nightly live broadcasts of us fighting was shown in full color, including death. And we did listen to music like this - many were just conscripted hippies with rifles.

No soldier has fought to protect American's rights since 1812. There has never been a free speech war. In communist countries the state owns all capital, including land. In the US the government owns the land (don't pay your rent (tax) & title reverts to gov't. While we do vote, we only vote in rigged elections and generally choose between the lesser of two evils. We don't have state run media, but we do have corporate media that panders to the state for access & delivers the party line.

FOOL? Which passage of the Constitution mentions either socialism or communism? Obviously America is losing the war of education when morons like speak your sound bite fed opinions as though you think you know something. BTW we lost that war on communism in Vietnam & we're stalemated in Korea for 60 years. As a matter of fact both China & Russia, the two largest communist countries, have been our allies. So you're about as wrong as it gets, but you're too ignorant to know it. Learn how to spell. think independently to form opinions, do not let others (corporate news/state propaganda) determine what's best, remember ownership determines content.
